I call myself an artist because I don’t believe in boxing up my creativity, and I enjoy wearing many hats.

The Sun Kingdom

When I am painting there is a moment when it is not just colours on a wall, but suddenly a spark of life, and it can almost take flight.

A Japanese-inspired drawing room, painted by hand for two very special clients: cherry blossom, bamboo, cranes and a preening pheasant, glowing as if the sun were setting.

Beautiful yet useful

William Morris’s rule, and mine. Everything I make is meant to be lived with: a room you sit in every morning, a corset you can dance in, a waistcoat that has lasted two hundred years and is good for a few more.
